Responsibilities

We are actively hiring for an Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room.

40 hours per week, 7am-5:30pm shift available.

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Keeping patients and their families informed about surgical procedures.
• Administering medication and using medical equipment under the direction of a surgeon.
• Responding to sudden changes in patients’ health and managing occasional emergencies.
• Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts.
• Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations.
• Working with surgeons, medical/surgical nurses and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op.
• Standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight and working in environments where there may be infectious material.
• Two years of experience in perioperative services required.
• Orthopedic and neurosurgery experience is preferred.
